ABOUT

Arthaya Nootecharas was born in California but grew up in Bangkok, Thailand. She relocated back to the West Coast and spent high school living in Portland, Oregon. Recently moved to Boulder, Colorado from New York City. Nootecharas's work is about exploring personal emotions of loss and longing, the past, and the unknowns of the future by reconstructing and reenacting memories and emotions.  She works both individually and through collaboration.  She recieved her Bachelor of Art from the University of Oregon, focused in sculpture and printmaking, in 2011 and a Master of Fine Art from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2013.
